I started this because I wanted somewhere safe to keep all the Tumblrweed I was loving. Maybe one day I'll actually be awake in my home long enough to post my own pictures.
I met this albino Raven named Pearl today at Bird Fest. It is only one of four known albino Ravens in the whole world.
Pearl lives in this woman’s house. The handler has a permit, and the bird is property of the government (like hawks and falcons). She is affiliated with the California Wildlife Center. Every time the handler stopped petting Pearl she started cawing. She really likes affection.
Everyone who loves this post as much as I do will be very happy to know these two amazing girls are still doing good and just celebrated their two year anniversary back in September. :3

Simple answer is yes, of course he does otherwise he wouldn’t have put in the effort to show up to ace comic con and meet all these people (apparently even one of the days he was there till midnight because of all the scheduling mishap when CH had to pull out last minute). He’s always been the kind of actor who shows and states (over and over) how lucky and blessed he feels to be doing what he loves for a living and to have all these people appreciate his work. He’s never shied away from that.
More detailed answer .. I think this questions still stems from the “why is tom so different lately? is he depressed?” discourse. And I think it all comes down to that he’s been criticized for so many things that WE as his fans love about him but that don’t exactly “fit the bill” in the industry. He’s LITERALLY been criticized for being too nice and too open, in a way that people are suspicious of it (??) like there are people who straight up wonder “what does this guy want? what is he trying to get out of this?” Do you get what I mean? Like when someone is so nice that people get suspicious about them and start to think it’s all an act. Especially if you’re an actor then people expect you to just not be that way. And then of course he’s also been criticized for HS and the tabloids blew it way out of proportion, for the golden globes speech, for singing, for dancing, for doing impressions and so, as a result, what you get is what I’ve seen some people on here call “rebranding”:
*He also allegedly did a Jeff Goldblum impression for a fan at ace during autographs, so I think it’s nice that he gets to be more comfortable when he knows the spotlight isn’t on him and he won’t be picked apart for it.
There’s also this bit where he was like “If there are 3 million people who go see Kong: Skull Island in Korea, I will be doing dance moves in my house.” and that made me really happy like he’s clearly still good ole Tom and the critics can’t bring him down
Tom’s a good dancer, he’s never claimed he was a professional one, but unfortunately that’s how people like to evaluate these things, like, “oh, he’s mister thinks-he-an-do-it-all” and Tom knows that he’s only a professional actor (it’s not like he’s ever claimed to be a proper singer or dancer, he just ever did it for fun) and he gets torn apart with criticism for it and so now, I guess, him and his pr team think its best that he limits his interaction with the public in this kind of way. And he’s also said its why he isnt on social media so much anymore because hes busy but also because people like to take simple innocent things and twist them around to make stories out of them. We can see him dance in High Rise and OLLA, sing as Hank Williams in I Saw the Light, do amazing voice work in Early Man and the Pirate Fairy, and quite honestly, I hope he never stops taking on roles where we get to see him do all those things because he’s so darn good at them no matter what his critics want to say
(I mean he’s said before that he’d love to do a musical if the opportunity presented itself!) So Tom is still Tom, but he can’t be as open with his fans as he used to be because he wants to be taken seriously as an actor (understandably, deservedly). And he doesn’t owe us anything; any time he’s danced or sang or went out of his way to meet some fans, it was a kindness on his part and a way to show his gratitude. Anyway, Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Bless you for saying that. This is the best answer that concludes what is going on with Tom right now. By the end Tom is a human being he goes through ups and downs. Being a fan means being by his side when he needs us most. Tom was an inspiration for every one of us. He deserves all the love and respect for what he is doing.
(We know very well that it is not about money. It is about spending precious time with fans and giving them the love that they deserve💕)

For those of you who don’t know, I work at an anarchist co-op coffee shop.
Apparently, all the Chicano/Cholo boys in my neighborhood have caught on the the fact that I sneak food and stuff to all the little punk kids and homeless kids at the coffee shop.
There are three in particular who call me Mom.
Not Mami, not Ma, Mom.
The rest refer to me as “Miss”.
They’ve decided to always have one of the three of them there with me on my night shifts. (Especially after they witnessed the last bad shift where I had to kick a bunch of tweakers out. Said tweakers lit my fucking bulletin board on fire.)
Tonight, one of the boys actually charged up a crackhead who wouldn’t get out when I told him to leave.
About an hour later, I was emptying bus tubs when that same lovely boy walked in and wetted a wash rag. I asked what he was doing and he told me not to worry. So, I went about my business, doing dishes, bussing the main dining tables, etc.
I’d left a broom in the smoking room and a fresh trash bag in the bathroom for once I was done with the dishes.
When I walked out, everything was spotless and the trash had been replaced. He’d wiped all my tables, swept, mopped, and emptied all the ash trays.
He’d also picked the lock on the bathroom so his friend could take out the trash for me. (Which I’m not sure whether I should scold him for. Haha)
They snuck around and did my closing shift duties to thank me for keeping them warm and fed.
I’m fucking crying.
Kindness begets kindness.
Picking a lock so you can take out trash for someone who’s nice to you is the most chaotic good thing i’ve ever heard. <3
